Additional
Background Information
In these
competitive times, businesses have to meet customer expectations
by delivering more added value from the people they have.
Never before has the focus been so much on reducing wastage
and the improving individual employee performance, in a
bid to be competitive in the market place. Whilst businesses
can usually make some impact upon costs through better management
of plant and machinery, by far the biggest potential for
savings and added value lies in improving the performance
of the workforce. Performance Appraisal (PA) is that part
of the managerial process that allows companies to unlock
the potential of their workforce. This workshop looks at
the whole area of PA from design to implementation. It covers
every aspect in a logical step-by-step approach which people
with no previous experience of PA can follow. The emphasis
is on ownership of the process by line managers and staff
within the organisation.
