Additional Background Information
For many years companies have been looking
for the key which will unlock the potential within their work
teams. The lure of synergy that promises to deliver a team
result is great. This workshop is designed for organisations
that want their managers to lead teams successfully and to
reap the benefits of synergy. Experience shows that team working
is not easy. There are many traditions in our industrial past
that hamper attempts to introduce teamwork into organisations.
In addition, people may need to clear out some of the "culture
skeletons" from their cupboards before effective teamwork
can be established. Characters are as varied as the individuals
in the team, so this topic demands a good grasp of the theory
of teams. However, the training input sessions are regularly
interspersed with practical exercises. These are designed
to prepare people to put a team building action plan into
practice on their return to the workplace. The only pre-requisite
for this workshop is an individual desire to build a successful
team and a willingness to work the action plan to completion.
